The blackbirds have been very anxious especially whenever a magpie is around and we suspect that the broken egg shell lying on the grass was taken by a magpie from a nest in the garden next door.   We are also anxious and waging war with the pigeons that have been feasting on the grass seed planted to repair the lawn.  All other birds are welcome into the garden, except gulls but they just sit on the roof.
