A mini Blipmeet

Hazelh and Mr hazelh (aka Tim) have come for a weekend of walking at the Haltwhistle Walking Festival. After their first day they came to me for dinner.

Hazel and I met on Blipfoto and we have become good friends. We have overlapped holidays on Lewis in the past and will do so again this year.

They had a great day walking today and I loved having their company this evening. They are the sort of guests who make you feel completely relaxed, even if the main course takes longer to cook than you expected!

This morning I was in Hexham to hear Baroness Warsi talk about being a British Muslim in 2025. What an excellent session with Chi Onwurah in the chair. These two are on opposite sides of the political spectrum, but they are thoughtful, intelligent women who care.

Julie and come to the talk and we had lunch together afterwards.

I did food preparation during the afternoon.

What a brilliant day!
