Monty was right

A few weeks ago, one of Monty Don's "jobs for the week" was to cut back ferns to allow new growth to come through. So I did, and it all looked very bare and no fronds seemed to be appearing at all. However - 2 weeks later - and here are the new shoots, already to unfold and fill in a dark, empty gap in the garden.  Never question Monty!!!  He knows what he's talking about. :-)
