The Maypole

We went to the next village - Long Preston to watch the May Day celebrations. The children had been practicing the dances since Christmas and they were wonderful to watch.
It was a bit chilly sitting by the village green so we didn’t stay for the rest of the afternoon.
We just had our tea and for dessert we had Christmas Pud and custard!
Frank popped to the village shop for some beer and the puds were on the counter reduced but still in date till 2026.
