High Tech, Low Tech, No Tech (SilS448)
Today has gone on a few final details for the car charge point ...
High Tech - organising a second BT disc (WiFi) repeater as the single one we had is now providing a more robust signal for the charge point and won't help the part of the house it had been set up in. The BT person in Northern Ireland was very helpful once I had made it past the gateway automated test widget which stood between us.
Low Tech - drilling holes into the house wall so I could mount the charge cable hook ... involved a big noisy SDS drill - I quite enjoyed this part and managed to avoid getting brick dust in Gill's plant pots :-)
No Tech - putting an anchor eye bolt into the wall (even bigger drill bit) to make the cable a little more secure. I suppose some ne'er do well could cut the cable to steal it, but at least it won't be much use to them if they do. Sadly the RCD will prevent them receiving a Darwin award which would qualify for Silly Saturday!
and ... I found out how to set the speed limiter to follow the road speed limits in the car - as I quite like my nil points licence.
Thanks to DavidC for hosting Silly Saturday.
