Barley

The fields of barley and rapeseed along the West Sussex coast are thriving and beautiful in this wonderful May sunshine we are having. I left M gardening and waiting for deliveries of new fencing panels today and walked along the coastal path for about 8 km.

It's busy in the town and full of tourists for the Bank Holiday weekend which is good for our local hospitality businesses. It's also lovely to see the pubs, cafes and restaurants full. 

My sister in Australia is delighted (and really relieved) with the result of their general election!
