An Amazing Unexpected Day Out…..!!!

As the hubby said last night ….we only went to look at sheds…:)))
We met my friend at the sawmills and after a good look about we had our ‘coffee break’ ..
And then as we were up on the edge of the Dublin side of the Dublin mountains we decided to take a drive and admire the views….it turned in to a beautiful sunshine clear  day …
We kept going as far as Glencree …incredibly beautiful place ..my extras are of The German Gravyard where German soldiers from both 1st and 2nd World Wars are interred…and the other is from the most peaceful cemetery..the buildings there are impressive as is the old church…
It is called The Glencree Center for Peace and Reconciliation and it was here that a lot of the ‘talks’ for the Good Friday Agreement for Northern Ireland took place.
We then drove on across the Dublin mountains through the Sally Gap and in over the Wicklow mountains ending in Glendalough and then home through the Wicklow Gap..
Stunning,  stunning beautiful scenery …this kind of trip is regeneration for the soul and the senses….and it’s slightly before the tourist season so we had it more or less to ourselves…!
I took so many photos …difficult to decide what to post so I’ll add some more tomorrow..!!
Extra also…a view from high up out across Dublin Bay..!

Happy Saturday to all
Hope the sun is still shining..
Bit dull and cooler here today..
