Australia votes

Today we went to vote. Our booth was the local primary school and my main and extras were taken there. 

I live and vote in the electorate of Grayndler, which is the electorate of the Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese. He's been the local Labor member here for 29 years and the Prime Minster for the last three. You have probably concluded that I live in a very safe Labor seat. 

Today the PM was returned with an overwhelming majority. 

In respect of my main photo, seconds earlier the person was photographing the fake Banksy. My photo shows his face when he turned around. He doesn't look happy. Probably a Liberal voter. One of the very few around these parts. The writing was on the wall. 

My extras show the sausage sizzler, the baristas, the cake stall holders and the flower seller. This is why I like turning up to vote rather than prepolling. I like the sense of community.
