A bright blue bloom in the morning

This is a morning glory flower which bloomed for the first time, in the summer heat. I feel a little sorry for the morning glory flower which only blooms once in the day then shrivels up and dies.

Discussing this with my mum (ever the philosopher) she said to me ' better to be a beautiful bloom for 24 hours than be a weed for a month' which I suppose is rule we should all live by.

This was shot on my new second hand Olympus camera that I bought at the start of the month. I am still getting to know it and hopefully as I do the photography will improve too!
