Aquilegia

Another very sunny hot day and we decided to visit Sidmouth.  We walked uptown Connaught Gardens admiring the views of the calm sea and red cliffs and then wandered through the gardens.  It was fairly early in the morning but felt very hot as there was very little breeze.  The spring flowers were looking very colourful and I took this photo of some Aquilegia for todays blip.

We then had a wander along the sea front where there was a small breeze and headed for The Byes an area of parkland with the River Sid flowing through it.  It was fairly shady due to some of the large trees and we spent some time just sitting on a bench admiring the view and watching people walking through.

After this we had an early lunch in town before heading back home.  An enjoyable outing.
