I slipped up to WWT Slimbridge this afternoon, in the optimistic hope of seeing the White Spotted Bluethroat that has returned to the site for the fifth year in succession. It was there this morning, I gather... ah well.

Mind you, we were joined by a pair of elderly love birds who sat on the sea wall next to the silently watching twitchers and began loudly to discuss their recent Whetherspoons fish and chips, the likelihood of one of their mates drinking himself to death and the way everyone keeps looking at them...

Eventually all the bird watchers left. No chance of the shy bird appearing this afternoon... However, I did get a decent shot of this chap, running past the shepherds hut in which I was sat, before I too gave in and left them to their stentorian small talk.

Anyhow, shot of the day: tick. If you're following yesterday's UK elections it was a bad day for Labour and a worse one for the Tories. The Green Party did ok, but oh dear... Reform. Wasn't Brexit enough?

Oh my, having been slow in reviewing all the Tiny Tuesday TT518 entries, I then said on my comments to each one that all the results would be on my Friday blip - and it's Saturday!!! So, here they are, posted onto Friday and almost certainly I will remember to note it on my blip today... almost...
