Night Market

Orientation first thing this morning which basically involved the programme leaders telling us everything we're not allowed to do ie drink like a British student.

Apart from that I had my first Mandarin lesson. I thought with my dissertation being about the different tones and using pinyin I'd get the hang of it easier than the others in my class but that definitely wasn't the case.

After our lesson we had the opening ceremony which was followed by an evening trip to the night market which is your ordinary Chinese market where you find everything you can usually buy on ebay. Oh and a few stalls were selling live turtles and jellyfish...that was a little strange.
