Broody Cat

First of all an update on Last nights stargazing - watching the sky trails from the Perseids meteor's.

With or without meteor trails, why have I not done this before - the sky and stars were so beautiful and listening to the owls and other unidentifiable night noises was great. apart from a few small patches of cloud that floated across the sky the night was clear, dark and full of stars.

I saw about 15 shooting star like trails some quite small but others were quite impressive. I stayed out from 11.40ish for about an hour and a half. Even had tea and hot buttered toast, wrapped in my duvet under the stars, lying on a sunbed in the middle of the garden.

Next time we have a clear night - that is not a school night, its a date with Bernie.

Now to todays Blip; despite having a cat sized basket lined with a cosy blanket in the correct place on the kitchen floor, our cat 'Monkey' has decided to sleep in the small basket on the kitchen worktop where we keep our eggs when we collect them from the chickens!
Getting broody maybe - but he happily gets comfortable and sleeps on top of them for hours.....if we let him. No breakages yet!
He is not so happy about my getting photographic evidence of this strange behaviour though!
