Poppies and birdsong

Poppies have arrived in the self-created-on-a- patch-of-gravel-at-the-end-of-the-drive wildlife garden. I’m sure they sprang up in the night! It will be interesting to see what else appears.

I was awake very early this morning and heard birds singing - Merlin identified 12 different birds and I think they were all plausible. Sometimes there were over half of them singing together. Quite mesmerising.
