Foraging anyone ?

Who can resist such a marvellous display of Wild Garlic ? I certainly couldn’t. It’s soaking in water for now and I’ll be making it into pesto (which will keep   in a jar for quite a while.)

I went originally to find out how the herons were faring. At this RSPB reserve, a huge old tree blew down during one of the named storms. They had hoped the herons would restart and build nests in one of the other trees. As it turns out, many have just made their homes in a smaller tree, which is part of the unfortunate original one. 

A lovely walk. Not too hot.  Lots of friendly people. A walk is so much nicer with a smile.
