Greater stitchwort
Another wild flower growing in profusion on our roadside ditch. It really is a delight at the moment.
It will unfortunately shortly be overtaken by nettles and bracken - this year I am planning to be more proactive in keeping these under some sort of control. If I keep cutting them back, maybe they'll eventually lose heart and give up - haha.
I love seeing the outcrops of bluebells on the roadside ditches as I drive around, and as we have a few growing randomly in the composting area, I think I'll dig them up and replant on our ditch,
Another really hot day. W has created a netting structure to protect our strawberries from the birds - we have lots of flowers. But we can never grow enough for our needs! The roadside stalls are appearing - won't be long before I'm tempted to stop on my way home from Wexford each time!
