The Sparrow

The Mistress loves sparrows. Always pointing me at them. Personally I think they're 'common', but she assures me that they are intelligent birds. She loves training a bunch of them to take bread out of her hands, and loves that contact with them.

She says she'll never forget the time she was at Auckland Airport waiting for an international flight in the cafe area. A sparrow was in a terrible condition. Fat, scruffy, and eating all the crumbs and bad things for it off the cafe tables, and included drinking out of the coffee cups with a bit of coffee left at the bottom.

The Mistress half expected it to pick up the still burning cigarette butt to smoke it!!! (It didn't but looked like it would!)

Poor thing - Goes to show that Bad Diet is bad for one.
