Cardinals

These birds have been at the feeding platform every day.  I thought the lighter color one was a mom but I think it might be a young male.    They are so fun to watch as the bright red dad feeds it...and the youngster waits and won't get his own seeds!    

So many other birds around also...titmouse, thrashers, chickadee, bluejay, mockingbird, and wrens.     I noticed the berries are really making now on the cedar tree so I am keeping my eye out for the cedar waxwings.

I have seen one hummingbird here.   The squirrels are climbing the hook I have the feeder on, tilting it and drinking the water.   I decided to not put any more feed out for the hummers.    

I counted 16 squirrels in the yard over the weekend.   I wish a hawk or owl would be hungry and come by to get one or two.
