Awning

It's a long story, which I have already typed and lost it due to my super duper mouse. I often type, not only in Blipfoto, only to lose it when I pick up or move the mouse as there are two buttons on it for going back and forth. When you do go back and forth you lose what you've just spent ten minutes typing furiously!
So, the short version is  that we've repaired the centre spar of the awning after it was, again, smashed in the earlier storms we had this year. Not only did the spar get damaged but it pierced the canvas cover which was then ripped to shreds in the gales.
Repaired the spar with L shaped lengths, 2 x 0.5m each, bolted top and bottom to form a cage around the spar.
Also, the LED lights that we had going all around the garden gave up the ghost in some sections, and others were hidden by the voracious growth of ivy, pyracanth and other bushes. We cut away what we could see and got out the box of 1,000 LED lights that we use on the Cherry Blossom tree at Christmas. We have a double outside electricity box in the garden which the lights were plugged into. Fixed it all the way around the conservatory roof, along the wall and 5 times around the awning frame.
It looks lovely, just have to sort out the digital timer plug that seems to have a mind of it's own.
