Rising Waters….

The rain had stopped falling when I set out on my early morning walk. I was surprised to see that it had not had the effect on the River levels I expected. This boarded and seated area beside the river was submerged with slightly discolored water…. Perhaps the levels will be higher tomorrow. I was very surprised to find 47mm in the rain gauge when I emptied it at 9.am. That is rainfall over 24 hours. And is the most I’ve had in a reading of the rain gauge for many years. I keep a graph and record rainfall as it occurs.
