Still

Today there’s a trip to Bodnant which is absolutely overflowing with colour at the moment. I think I’d forgotten just how vivid the beds of azaleas could be. 

Even on my slow short exploration, I take far too many shots and it’s really difficult to decide just what to blip - unusual for me I know! In the end, I go for collages. 

My main’s a triptych of reflections in the perfect stillness of the mid-terrace pond. Then there’s a collection of individual blooms, and a set of azalea colour. 

There’s one more extra. We’ve discovered the next baby will be another girl! They wanted Lili to be involved in the ‘reveal’, so Solveig asked them not to tell her at the scan but to choose an envelope containing either pink or blue confetti. Daniel was home with Lili as she had a temperature, so here we see the three finding out together. Of course, it means very little to Lili - but she liked the pink confetti symbolising the later arrival of a little sister!
