2025 Wednesday — From the Iris Garden

Our friends Elaine & Bob are spending four nights in Oakhurst this week. This morning she sent me this photo with this caption, “The Iris garden where we had breakfast!”

She also explained this about their adventure, “Our Christmas present from our daughter Beth and her family was a stay at a BnB in Oakhurst, the gateway to Yosemite. We have not been to Yosemite in years. Tuesday was breakfast at the famous Ahwahnee Hotel, a shuttle tour of the Valley and visits to the Museum and Ansel Adam’s Gallery, several lovely walks, the Dogwood trees are in full bloom, and finished with a historical tour of the Ahwahnee! And yes, I did a bit of knitting in the Grand Lounge.”

Here in Cayucos we’ve enjoyed a soft gray day with a momentary spot of sun. We did not leave the house to go anywhere. Even though it is Wednesday, we had taco Tuesday for dinner and savored every bite.
