Rain

We have had, strong winds, very cold temperatures and torrential rain for the past 3 days. As a result Christchurch has announced a state of emergency with widespread flooding throughout the city. My photo, taken earlier in the day, shows the Heathcote River at the bottom of the hill. The water had just burst over the banks. The picnic table is rather folorn sitting in the middle of the water. Further along, roads are under up to a metre of water and closed.
