On Lookout Duty
Today, I revisited Cullaloe Nature Reserve but in the hot sunshine, none of the butterflies were stopping to rest.
Shortly after leaving the reserve, I pulled into a layby and walked up a farm track into some woodland. There, in a clearing, I found three speckled wood butterflies, one of which posed for me on a small tree stump close to where I was standing. Several orange-tips around but they still weren't cooperating.
