Death Trap or Prime Dining Spot
...That depends on your point of view. From the point of view of various insects, this lovely dahlia that is growing in our yard, is a death trap as I've seen two bees killed by a cunning little spider who thinks it's a good spot for his dining pleasure. I understand that a spider has to make a living too, but I wish it wasn't the honey bees that had met their demise.
Today was movie day with my son. God bless him, he is still willing to drag along his mom to the movies. It started with Herbie the Love Bug and Pete's Dragon when he was a tyke and now we are seeing Elysium the new Matt Damon Sci-Fi thriller. And since Peter Pan was a much loved action adventure movie when I was a kid, there has always been an interest for me to see those kinds of movies. Call me silly, but that's just the way it is. I know, it's not Shakespeare in the Park, but what is? Well, Shakespeare in the Park is, but you know what I mean. ;)
We shared some sushi at a place in the mall, which is right next to the new Cinetopia Theater Complex. We enjoyed the sushi and the theater is new and the screen is GIGANTIC! I have to protect my ears (actually ear as in one, since one doesn't work) in theaters as they put the sound up to 10 on a scale of 9, just in case somebody can't hear it in the next county.
Another lovely summer day and tomorrow...wait for it.....tomorrow Bill, Auntie and I are going to go to Sauvie Island and get some fresh off the tree peaches!! Sauvie's Island is a lovely little farming area with several produce places to visit. We haven't been there in a long, long time. We are looking forward to our little trip into the country.
See ya later, friends.
