Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

I really thought I had nothing to blip for this date. I ended up asking my daughter to park the car and ran out in the rain and took a picture of some yellow roses. Of course they were well past their prime...This is one of the few snapshots I took as we were leaving this campus.

Battery K, 1st Ohio Light Artillery was an artillery battery that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. The Battle of Gettysburg was fought July 1–3, 1863, in and around the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania between Union and Confederate forces during the American Civil War. The battle involved the largest number of casualties of the entire war and is often described as the war's turning point. Union Maj. Gen. George Gordon Meade's Army of the Potomac defeated attacks by Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia, ending Lee's invasion of the North.
