Jour de Pompidou
We have come to Paris to see the Centre Pompidou before it closes for five years for renovations. Tim first saw the Pompidou when he was an architecture student and it was still a building site. He was taught by Richard Rogers, one of the key architects.
It was a magnificent day! The permanent collection has already moved out to le Grand Palais but they still have exhibitions (Paris Noir was particularly good). We just took our time, soaking up the atmosphere of the Pompidou, looking forward to seeing it again in 2030.
We were staying relatively nearby so enjoyed walking to and walking back along la Rue Montmontre.
A few extras to help remember the day.
