Avalon Marshes

An early start this morning, drove Sue up to Shepton Mallet for an appointment. A beautiful start to the day. The 15th century tower on the top of Glastonbury Tor looked beautiful in the early morning light.

After the appointment we decided to check out Shapwick Heath. Had lunch there, before a drive around the marshes. Too hot by this time to walk in the sunshine. Spotted this bug, which according to google lens a Donacia aquatic leaf beetle, and this lovely field of rapeseed
