Wide Wednesday: Still …. Waters

After a trip to the Recycling Centre with garden waste and a gin and wine run to Aldi, we spent the rest of the morning in the garden, planting dahlia tubers and creating more waste for recycling. We were very hot and sweaty by the time we’d finished!

The local outdoor pool opens for the season on Saturday so this afternoon we called in to buy our season tickets. Friends of ours who happen to live in one of the houses behind the pool in the photo - and next door to the pool manager - were in the water, giving it a pre-season test drive. They assured us it was working well, doing a good job of keeping them cool.

It will be standing room only on Saturday if this hot spell continues.
