The sunshine has brought out the Himalayan Poppies. I bought one at a local plant sale about 20 years ago and they have done well.

The dogs and I went up into the forest early this morning before it got too hot. Merry doesn’t know when to stop chasing after sticks! I was a little dismayed to meet a man with a digger - tree felling is about to start. I hope it won’t disrupt our walks.
