Art?

One of my intentions when I stopped the “day job” earlier in the year was to get to see more exhibitions. Obviously health concerns have meant that it’s taken a while. But as I am now feeling almost completely back to normal, I decided that a trip to the Whitworth Gallery was a good plan.

Three VERY different exhibitions at the moment. Matgorzata Mirga-Tas’s enormous textiles exploring Romani culture. JWM Turner’s prints (alongside lots of watercolours and a few oils) and Women in Revolt! Art and Activism in the UK 1970-1990. I found them all interesting and inspiring (although slightly depressing how much more progress is needed in the role of women and tackling other injustices in the world). But rather than blipping any of them, I have chosen this “accidental art” view through the window blinds to the park trees beyond.
