Change of plan
This morning I set off to drive to Ardglass harbour, about a 40 minute drive, however when I reached Downpatrick it was a bottle neck for some reason hence the change of plan. I visited the nearby Cistercian monastery ruin of Inch Abbey. The current ruin was founded in 1180 by John de Courcy, who also built Carrickergus Castle, and other fortified construction around Ulster. It was interesting wandering around the ruin exploring different angles of view. Better still I was the only person on site.
