An evening at the distillery
Graham and I decided it was time we used our Christmas present from Bec, a tour of a boutique distillery in Sydney and a crash course on the production and blending of whiskies. The blip shows Graham blending some of the local malts into the 4 bottles of finished product we’ve brought home (shown in the extra with the bottle of gin I invested in while we were there).
All my Scottish followers (well, I have 2 that I know of) will be shaking their heads at the thought of a couple of Australians attending a whisky distilling and blending night in Sydney, especially as one of malts we were working with was labelled “Stringybark Smoked Malt”. I thought Stringybarks were only useful for fence posts and for firewood!
