The Return

I heard a familiar twitter yesterday morning before heading off to meet up with the minibus, and checking saw a house martin perched on the side of the nest. I decided to check this morning before breakfast and heard soft twitterings from inside the nest, and then after 5 minutes two excited birds flew out, returning and flying around excitedly. I think the game’s afoot !

The return of the martins is something I look forward to each year. The house sparrows are definitely nesting under the eaves too, so all is good on that score at least.

I have a lot of “chores” to catch up on over the next few days. I’m looking forward to getting things a bit more shipshape than they currently are.
