Granny duty day

I'm on duty today - D2 is on jury service and the childminder doesn't have space on a Monday, so I get to play with my grandson all day. He is crawling now, so a bit more energy is needed to keep an eye and chase when necessary.  However he is a real bookworm - seen here reading an encyclopaedia and he will sit up in his cot reading rather than going to sleep at rest time if given the chance.  I predict torches under duvets in a few years time.

It turns out that some good friends who now live near Thornbury also take care of their grandson on Mondays.  So they came down to Bristol and we spent time catching up and the boys played very well together.  It was a great time and we will be doing it again.

D2 was not picked for a case today and was back home in time for a slightly delayed lunch.  So we had a bit more time together.
