Scolty tower
A fine morning for a good walk; up Scolty Hill. Path up is mostly in woods, first the Forestry Land Scotland commercial forest then the birch and rowan higher up. Long views from the top. Saw orange tip and speckled wood butterflies on the way down.
There's a blotch in the first extra that is an out of focus spider, making a web across the bars of the cage at the top of the spiral stairs in the tower.
Was dropped off at Stonehaven station in the afternoon, back to Edinburgh, supper out at OneTwenty on Dundas Street. Good Italian food on a short menu.
