Creme De La Creme
Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Mini Princesses,
An era is coming to an end and it’s hard to come to terms with.
That’s right, creme eggs are almost gone from the shops and the chocolate chickens won’t be laying again until the new year*.
So tonight I had what I suspect will be the last one this year.
I treated the occasion with the respect it deserved and ate it the right way: I bit the top off, scooped out most of the middle with my tongue and then finished off the rest of the shell with just enough goo left to coat it.
And then it was gone. Too soon. It was an emotional moment. Au revoir my foil covered friend!

*Apparently Cadbury experimented in the 1980s and made Creme Eggs available all year but sales declined.
Aaaargh. Things were so much simpler back then.
Except for taste. Streaks, perms, leg warmers and shoulder pads were cool. Basically everyone looked ridiculous.
And the skinny jeans didn’t have Lycra in them. You had to be a contortionist to get the zip up and sitting down used to cut off your circulation.
