Bandits at 1 o'clock..!

Being a member of the Men's Shed can distract you from your ailments. Now over 80 years old one of our members, who joined after suffering a stroke, continues to make incredible things.

Not only did he make or supervise the making of 9 of the ten railway bridges that will be our model train system and project managed the new kitchen and craft area he has just finished making this large replica of a WW2 Spitfire. 

It is nearly 2 meters wide and now hangs from the rafters in the kitchen area. Some improvisation has been needed like the use of a plastic bottle as a cockpit canopy and copper pipe couplings as exhaust pipes but that just adds to the creativity. 

I wonder what will be next...
