Osborne House

We spent much of today here. It was one of the places (together with Balmoral) where Queen Victoria apparently most liked to be, and she died here. The young man on duty in her bedroom gave us a lively account of her last day. Apparently all who were present at her end wrote the details in their diaries, so the story has some verisimilitude!
