Book Club

I debated not going tonight but really wanted to switch off from hospital talk - I don't mean that in a bad way but I just know Martin is going to be ok, he is in really good hands. They prepped him for surgery at 7am this morning, but he hasn't had the Op yet as it isn't as straight forward as first thought - it's a blister aneurysm so they've had to work out how to attack it. Surgery is planned for 11am tomorrow.

Book Club was a real giggle tonight - we were all a bit delirious and everything seemed to turn into a double entendre! Simon and his mum came for the last half hour and clearly thought book club was nothing about books!

A mixed consensus on The Fault In Our Stars....most liked it but many wouldn't recommend it due to the subject matter (cancer). I loved all the quotes in it.

Next month's book is a whopping 541 pages long....I'm starting it ASAP - it's called Cutting For Stone by Abraham Verghese it's about to orphans in Ethiopia.

Midwife tomorrow :)
