For us!
Our U3A topic for this month is 'Arches and Bridges,' so here's an arch for us sheep to use!!! I have taken hundreds of sheep photos, but never managed to get one kneeling down like the one on top. Walking around I saw the arch. A lime kiln. This is by the side of a very minor road in the Pennines. The area is a limestone area. I was on my way to Wharfedale. There are a few built into hillsides limestone country, built to burn limestone at very high temperatures and give quicklime which was used in building and soil improvement.
So the photographer got his sheep and an arch while we, lie, eat and watch said photographer. Oh there was a U3A sub topic called 'Orange,' going through colours, and There is some orange in these rocks.
The extra shows Pendragon Castle, can't walk round it as the ash trees are unwell, but I did notice the advert (with orange) for Messiah performed in Dent and Dent has a viaduct so has arches.
