First walk now I'm back in France
Yesterday I did a bit of work on lessons and had one student last night. The other student who was due to come, contacted me at 7 am to say she was stuck in Lisbon, awaiting a connecting flight to Paris. She has been in Senegal for a holiday. Having had no sleep on the flight, she felt she wouldn't be in a good state for her lesson at 6.15pm.
I wasn't in a good state either, with aches and pains from carrying my heavy rucksack back from the UK. The sleep apnea machine makes a bit of a difference in weight, as apart from that I was just carrying my lunch, 3 small bottles of water, my Kindle tablet and a lithium battery to charge my phone if needed (it was quite useful).
Today I was determined to get out for a walk, so left around 9.45am to make the short drive in Mega Breadvan to the edge of our village. From there I walked to Parc Villeroy in Mennecy and went for a bit of a potter. Managed just over 3km, but it was starting to get warm. I need to buy a new cap too, as the one I have is too small. I'm missing my LCFC cap, which I left on the Eurostar.
Emma will be back early today from college, returning the 4km on foot with her boyfiend. They'll spend the afternoon here, so I'm going to be playing gooseberry. I have plenty from our UK trip to put away this afternoon. I've also finished offloading all my photos and video onto USB keys for transfer to my desktop machine.
I think I'll probably get 3 or 4 Youtube videos out of the footage.
1 - A moan about EMR and Eurostar. Wasn't pleased with the return trip.
2 - Aerial views of where I used to live.
3 - Aerial views near Theddingworth and the Victorian Barn.
4 - Bus scene in Leicester April 2025.
I have others to do as well.
