Unwelcome visitor

Another beautiful day, made even better as it was a public holiday.

We pottered about for most of the morning, did a bit of shopping and then had an outing with the dogs.  It is so nice to finaly walk on solid ground although there are still some squelchy spots where it is in the shade.

We had planned to lunch at the Tap Room only to find that the owner of the brewery closed doors overnight and the fate of the restaurant/bar is in limbo.  It also means that our favourite tipples from there will be no more.

We were happily settled in a shady spot at Doppio when the owner of this machine arrived to buy some stuff from the bakery.  Great idea to leave it idling whilst he did so with the exhaust facing towards the outdoor diners.  To add insult to injury he met someone he knew and proceded to have a chat whilst we endured the noise.  He was less than impressed when a staff member asked him to move his vehicle or at least switch it off.  In response he took ages packing away his purchased goodies, putting on his helmet and then made sure he revved way more than was necessary when he finally left.  We did have a wee giggle after all the frustration, when a little lap dog decided to show his displeasure by chasing the noisy beast and barked what we hope was what we were all thinking.
