Species under threat!!!!!!!!!

I've had the p taken out of me recently for suggesting that ladybirds were getting rarer. Just as I mentioned it the other week we turned a corner and found a few thousand of them sitting on a hedgerow. Typical. There were a mix of the usual red and black ones and some odd black, white and orange ones.

Anyway ever since ladybirds just keep appearing just to undermine my theory.

So I did a quick search and I found what must've been the basis for the radio piece I'd heard a while back. See here.

Despite what this article says there appears to be loads of them around.

However the black, white and orange ones we saw are the Asian interlopers referred to at the link above.
