Although the gardens in Princes Street are kept well by the council, twice a year the lawns near the Scott Monument are spoilt when the Big Wheel and market stalls are installed in July and again in November for several weeks.   Today the view there contrasted greatly with the extra view at the end of January before new grass was laid.
