Hepworth Gallery - children's workshop

This week is designated as a sculpture week at the Hepworth Gallery so we've been taking part in a workshop. First you had to choose three different Barbara Hepworth sculptures to draw and then make a choice of one to carve out of soap. You needed a workshop assistant too, which is where I came in. Carving soap with clay modelling tools is not easy!

The boys had a great time in the children's playground at the Gallery (there's a fabulous Pirate Ship climbing frame) and we had tea out as part of the treat. We're now exhausted and fortunately both boys are asleep. I'll not be far behind them tonight!
