Elder

So many colours, despite the serious drout. I heard a report about the groundwater levels being seriously low, and it's still spring, we will surely have water restrictions during the summer.

During my walk I passed this Elder bush. The bark has an astounding colour, before the leaves sprung, it looked like the bush was dead but no, it's full of life. Never give up on an elderberry bush.
