A failure

We were out looking for a specific Summer visitor , the Wood Warbler. It had been seen and heard earlier singing it’s very special song which includes a section sounding like a spinning coin on a table top.

We failed to find it spending too long in bed, eating breakfast etc.

The woodland itself looked superb in the sunshine
