Itchy

A Wood Duck worked hard to find an itchy spot in its feathers, when we visited the Japanese Gardens in Cowra today.

Designed by Ken Nakajima, a prominent designer of Japanese gardens, this garden was opened in 1979 and commemorates the deaths of Japanese prisoners of war who were interned in Cowra in World War II.

It’s one of my favourite public gardens, which I try to visit each year or so. Today was a lovely sunny autumn day, though I’ve made equally enjoyable visits in the past in grey and showery weather.

Today’s extra is a collage of garden photos taken today.
