(117) Pinter

Many years ago I used to brew my own beer, first from kits purchased from Boots, and later using individual ingredient bought from a local brewing shop. The kits were easy to use though the 'from scratch' method was a bit more work. In both cases, the bottling stage required some effort to sterilise and prime the bottles, siphon off the beer and then cap the bottles. I made a good few decent beers over the years but eventually gave up the hobby. Fast forward thirty years and I have acquired a new-fangled brewing device that promises excellent results with minimal hassle. The basic brewing principle, of course, is the same but there are a few tweaks to the process, with the main difference being that the entire process takes place in one vessel, which goes from from kitchen worktop to fridge and then delivers ten pints of beer in around ten to twelve days. An Irish Cream Stout is now underway, I'll let you know how it turns out.
